    Internet - Introduction

    Course Prerequisites:

    It is assumed that delegates have basic PC skills i.e. using the standard mouse. Typing skills are not required - only basic keyboard skills will be assumed.

    Course content:

    Starting an Internet session
    Understand the basic requirements to access the Internet
    Navigate between sites on the Internet
    Add sites to a personal 'favourite' store
    Understand the basics of searching the Internet for information
    Apply restrictions to stop users accessing unsuitable sites
    Be aware of the potential for viruses being introduced through the int    ernet
